Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies on our platform.
Last updated: April 12, 2026What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies set by us are called “first-party cookies”. Cookies set by third parties are called “third-party cookies”.
NeuronPathway uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Can be declined? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Authentication, session management, security | No — required for the platform to function |
| Preference | Remembering your language, theme, and UI settings | Yes — via cookie banner |
| Analytics | Aggregated usage analytics via PostHog (privacy-first, no cross-site tracking) | Yes — via cookie banner |
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to operate. They cannot be switched off because the platform needs them to:
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your logged-in session (set by Supabase Auth)
- Protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
- Store your cookie consent preference so we don't ask you on every page visit
- Maintain secure payment flow state (Stripe)
These cookies are first-party session or short-lived cookies and do not track you across other websites.
Preference & Analytics Cookies
With your consent, we set optional cookies and local storage entries to:
- Remember your UI preferences (language, theme)
- Collect aggregated, anonymised analytics through PostHog (self-hosted option available)
- Understand which features are most used so we can improve the platform
PostHog analytics are configured with IP anonymisation enabled and do not build individual user profiles for advertising purposes.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Manage Cookies” in the site footer or clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
Third-Party Cookies
We use a small number of third-party services that may set their own cookies:
| Service | Purpose | Their Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database & authentication backend | supabase.com/privacy |
| Stripe | Payment processing (card & subscription) | stripe.com/privacy |
| NOWPayments B.V. | Cryptocurrency payment processing | nowpayments.io/privacy-policy |
| PostHog | Privacy-first analytics (consent required) | posthog.com/privacy |
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several ways to manage cookies:
- Cookie Banner: When you first visit our site, you can choose “Necessary Only” or “Accept All”.
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
- Clear Local Storage: In your browser's developer tools, you can clear local storage for neuronpathway.app to reset all preference data.
To reset your consent choice, open your browser's developer tools, go to Application → Local Storage, and delete the key np_cookie_consent. The cookie banner will reappear on your next visit.
Local Storage & Session Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage for certain functional features:
np_cookie_consent— Stores your cookie consent choice. Persists until cleared.i18nextLng— Stores your language preference.- Supabase auth tokens — Stored securely for session persistence. Cleared on sign-out.
We do not store personal health data in local storage. All fitness and training data is stored server-side in our encrypted Supabase database.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We will notify logged-in users of material changes via in-app notification.
We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
